Abbey Access Training
With high quality, supportive and friendly training, delivered from an inner-city park setting, Abbey Access Training provides the qualifications, knowledge and employment skills needed within the local community.
The Centre runs a course of training designed to improve your skills and enhance your chances of success in the job market. Abbey Access Training has successfully helped people gain employment, even in recent difficult times. Over 2000 people have found work again through their supported employment skills programme.
The programmes are available only to those who are unemployed. The courses include:
The Flare programme is for young people aged 16 – 18, to help with progression to college, apprenticeships or employment.
Flare is designed for those working towards qualifications from Entry 2 to Level 2, who need help to build confidence, skills and work experience, focused on developing the skills needed for the working world.
Get into Catering is a practical study programme, which includes:
- Work experience in Food Preparation and Food Service in our Cafe
- Help with CVs, covering letters applications
- Customer Service NVQ
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- COSHH Certificate
- Intensive job search support
